The status of media: Why and How?

Mass communication has taken over the world and any place which has  a respect for free speech, media is the most powerful pillar of the democracy.  In the recent times we have seen examples across the world where an array of powerful journalism has led to severe changes across the world. Taking examples from the leading democracies of the world, India and America, the strength of mass communication has been depicted and observed by people from all walks of life.

The question arises what has made media such a powerful industry. The simple example is the quality of education the individuals have gained to reach to their respective positions. Anyone who has reached to the heights in media and journalism, however easy and glamorous it may seem to the viewers or the audience, people walk tough roads to reach there. The journey of such careers begin with courses in mass communication and journalism. These courses are now available in almost all the major universities across the country. These universities train the students about the ethics of journalism and the technical advancements in the world of media.

There are numerous leading examples of people from these universities who went on to become the face of their respective organisation with their hard work, Uniqueness and talent. The media has the power to change the world, and if used appropriately can work wonders in the pre existing scenario. It is very important for youngsters to be more and more aware about journalism as a career and learn more about it, in terms of the ethics , morals and the technicalities involved.
